Avunu Movie Review Sep 21st 2012, 15:16 Ravi babu  once again came up with his genre film titled Avunu starring Poorna and Harshavardhan Rane inlead roles.Sekhar Babu scored tunes and Ravi Babu, Suresh Babu,Prasad Potluri are producers of the film produced under Flying Frogs Banner.Zustcinema present Avunu Movie Review here... This Says Avunu Story  Mohini (Poorna) and Harsha (Harshavardhan Rane) are the newlywed couple shifts to a new home in Classic Homes. Then begins strange things happening around the lady Mohini as a spirit tries to make relationship with her. A boy named Vicky stays their neighbourhood has some special powers of speaking with souls.None of the colony people believed the boy.The boy says that Captain Rao who died in the home is stalking Mohini.Rest of the story forms How Mohini gets rid of Captain Rao's spirit ?  Performances  Poorna as Mohini does a pretty good job as she carried entire film on her shoulders as her role is a key plot. She put up sensuous expressions in key scenes which is bought the thriller effect for the film.  Harshvardhan Rane does his role with ease and bought some freshness to the scenes which is appreciable. Gayatri Bhargavi does a simple job as always. Ravi Babu presence was impressive and others like Chalapathi Rao, Sudha, Rajeshwari and Master Vicky were apt to the roles.  Technical Analysis  Even though Avunu has no songs the background score and sound effects by Sekhar Chandra are given well. Screenplay and narrations for the three main characters were showcased very well by Ravi Babu. Avunu run time length was an added advantage for the film to success with such fast pace thriller film. Throughout the film lighting effects and cinematography was outstanding. Editing was crisp and dialogues are suited for the roles.  Analysis  The screenplay and narration by Ravi Babu is a big asset of the film and coming up with such good films in recent times is to be appreciated. Avunu is a very small budget film shot in a home with the static camera. Avunu turned out to be much suspense haunting thriller with the pace of the film continued to the climax. Director might have taken little care about the Climax of the film as it was predictable. Avunu storyline is thinner but screenplay and racy narration will make audience to stick to their seats. Cinematography and Background score are big plus for the film. Avunu is a must watch film for horror/ thriller movie lovers this weekend.  My Take  Ravi babu's Avunu is a ardent horror/ thriller movie lovers film.
